01Problem & Solution

High Pressure, a High Energy Bill

Problem

Energy Is the Plant’s Main Cost

The largest running cost in an industrial reverse osmosis system is the energy consumed by the high-pressure pump that drives water through the membrane. The higher the pressure, the higher the electricity bill.

Solution

High Output at Low Pressure

The energy-saving construction of the LG 8 inch RO Membrane BW 400 ES delivers high flow and high salt rejection even at low feed pressure. The same output takes less energy.

02Key Features

High Output, Low Cost

The LG 8 inch RO Membrane BW 400 ES brings energy efficiency and water quality together in industrial-scale treatment.

Energy Saving (ES)

High permeability at low feed pressure cuts pump energy and running costs.

99.6% Salt Rejection

High, stable salt rejection separates dissolved salts from the water almost completely.

10,500 GPD Output

Producing roughly 39.7 m³ of treated water a day, it meets requirements at industrial scale.

Thin-Film Nanocomposite

The nanocomposite membrane structure gives higher flow and better salt rejection than conventional constructions.

Fouling Resistance

Its surface structure resists fouling, which lengthens the intervals between chemical cleans.

Standard 8″ Fit

It fits standard 8 inch pressure vessels and integrates easily into existing industrial systems.

04Applications

Where Is It Used?

The LG 8 inch RO Membrane BW 400 ES is used in industrial-scale reverse osmosis systems.

  • Industrial Process Water
  • Drinking Water Plants
  • Pure Water Systems
  • Boiler Feed Water
  • Factories
  • Water Recovery
  • Well Water Systems
  • Membrane Replacement

05How It Works

How Does the LG 8 inch RO Membrane BW 400 ES Work?

  1. Pre-Treatment and Chlorine Removal

Raw water passes through the sand and carbon stages; sediment and chlorine are removed and the membrane protected.

  2. Pressurised Feed

The high-pressure pump delivers the water to the membrane element inside the 8 inch pressure vessel.

  3. Salt Separation at the Membrane

The nanocomposite membrane lets water through while holding back up to 99.6% of the dissolved salts and ions.

  4. Permeate and Concentrate Outlets

The treated water (permeate) goes to the process, and the high-salinity concentrate is discharged through a separate line.

  5. Cleaning and Replacement

When output falls the membrane is cleaned chemically, and at the end of its life it is replaced.

06Making the Right Choice

What Decides the Right Membrane

When choosing the LG 8 inch RO Membrane BW 400 ES, water type, capacity and system compatibility must be assessed correctly.

Water Type

This membrane is for brackish water; very high salinity such as seawater calls for the SW series.

Capacity Requirement

The daily treated water requirement directly determines how many membrane elements are needed.

Energy as a Priority

In plants where the electricity bill is critical, the energy-saving (ES) series is a clear advantage.

Housing and Pre-Treatment

A standard 8 inch pressure vessel and pre-treatment that removes chlorine are essential to the membrane’s output.

07Maintenance and Use

Notes That Extend Its Life

  • Free chlorine damages the membrane permanently; chlorine must be removed by a carbon filter ahead of it.
  • In high hardness, softening or antiscalant dosing should be used to prevent scaling.
  • Permeate conductivity and differential pressure should be monitored; deviations give the chance to act early.
  • Membrane replacement and chemical cleaning are best carried out by a technical service engineer.

08Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

What does the LG 8 inch RO Membrane BW 400 ES do?
It is the brackish water membrane that removes dissolved salts, heavy metals and ionic contaminants from water in industrial reverse osmosis systems. Its energy-saving construction gives high output at low pressure with salt rejection of up to 99.6%.
What does “ES” mean?
ES stands for the Energy Saving series. Because this membrane achieves the same output at a lower feed pressure, pump energy and the electricity bill fall markedly.
Can it be used on seawater?
No. The BW 400 ES is a brackish water membrane. Seawater involves far higher salinity and far higher pressure; those applications call for the seawater (SW) series.
How much water does it produce a day?
Under standard test conditions it produces 10,500 GPD (roughly 39.7 m³/day). Real output varies with feed water salinity, temperature, pressure and recovery rate.
Is it sensitive to chlorine?
Yes. Free chlorine and oxidising agents damage the membrane permanently. Chlorine must therefore be removed by an activated carbon filter ahead of it, and in high hardness precautions should also be taken against scaling.

Delivery

Across Türkiye · 1–3 business days

Products in stock ship free anywhere in Türkiye and arrive within 1–3 business days. Items not in stock are supplied to order — the lead time is confirmed to you when the order is approved.

Installation and commissioning

Installation is a service · plumbing is the customer’s responsibility

The system is delivered ready to install; it only needs to be connected to the inlet and outlet lines. If valve setup is required, we provide free support over a video call. Installation and commissioning fall under our service work and are subject to a service fee. Plumbing labour and any pipes, valves and fittings are not included in the price; these items are the customer’s responsibility.

Warranty

2 years · manufacturer

The system is covered by a 2-year manufacturer warranty. During the warranty period, labour and parts are free for faults arising from manufacture or installation. Consumables such as filters, membranes and resin are outside warranty cover — they are replaced when their service life ends; they do not fail.

Withdrawal and returns

Distance sales agreement

The right of withdrawal and the return terms are set out in detail in the distance sales agreement. Systems that have been installed and commissioned, and made-to-order products, are outside its scope.

Cancellation and return terms

How can we help?

Two different requests, two different forms.

The two forms ask different things: if we are building a new system we ask about your water and capacity; if your existing system needs service we ask for its brand and a photo.
