01Problem & Solution
Hard Water and Limescale, Solved at the Root
Problem
Hard Water Wears the Plumbing Down
High water hardness leaves limescale in taps, boilers, heaters and white goods. Over time the flow falls, energy consumption rises and appliance life shortens.
Solution
Ion Exchange on Resin
The Maxi Cabinet Water Softener takes hardness minerals out of the water by ion exchange on cationic resin. This central softening system stops limescale forming and protects the plumbing.
02Key Features
Powerful Softening, Compact Design
Industrial Capacity
At 5 tonnes of softening a day it meets the water needs of heavily used premises without interruption.
A Compact Cabinet
The resin vessel and salt reservoir sit in a single body. A cabinet-type softener makes for a tidy installation in a tight space.
Automatic Flow Control
The flow-controlled valve watches consumption, starts regeneration at the right moment and preserves efficiency.
Premium Cationic Resin
High-exchange-capacity cationic resin captures calcium and magnesium ions effectively.
Salt and Water Savings
A regeneration cycle managed by need cuts salt and water consumption and keeps running costs down.
A Long-Lasting Body
A robust cabinet and quality components deliver efficient, trouble-free performance for years.

05How It Works
How Does the Maxi Cabinet Water Softener Work?
Hard Water In
Hard water from the mains or a well is directed into the unit’s resin vessel.
Ion Exchange
The cationic resin captures the calcium and magnesium ions that make water hard and releases sodium in their place.
Softened Water Out
Cleared of hardness, the soft water goes into the plumbing and reaches the points of use.
Automatic Regeneration
When the resin is exhausted it is renewed with brine; the captured hardness ions go to drain and the resin returns to service.
A Continuous Cycle
The flow-controlled valve manages the whole cycle automatically, keeping soft water flowing without interruption.
06Making the Right Choice
What Determines the Right Capacity
The Hardness of the Water
The hardness level directly affects the resin capacity and how often regeneration occurs.
Daily Water Consumption
Total daily water use determines the softening capacity required.
How Many People Use It
The number of users on site and the usage profile are taken into account in sizing the system.
Plumbing Flow Rate
A flow rate that meets peak demand matters for positioning the unit correctly.
07Maintenance and Use
Notes That Keep It Performing
- The level in the salt reservoir should be checked regularly and topped up promptly when it runs low.
- The regeneration settings should be configured to the water hardness in your area.
- Each regeneration uses roughly 1.5-3 kg of salt; monthly consumption varies with use.
- Periodic checks keep resin and valve performance high for a long time.
08Frequently Asked Questions
Common Questions
Who is the Maxi Cabinet Water Softener for?
It suits a wide range of settings, from villas, detached houses and complex inlets through to high-consumption businesses such as hotels, restaurants, laundries and factories.
How much space does it take up?
At 60 × 35 × 130 cm it is a compact cabinet, easily placed in a kitchen or a plant room.
Is salt essential to softening?
Yes. The resin is renewed (regenerated) with brine, which is why the salt reservoir must be kept topped up.
How far does it lower the hardness?
Ion exchange on cationic resin takes the hardness minerals out of the water, lowering hardness substantially and stopping limescale from forming.
Does it come with a warranty?
Yes, it carries a 2-year warranty. With correct use and periodic maintenance it works efficiently for years.
