How Does the Maxi Cabinet Water Softener Work?
Hard Water In
Hard water from the mains or a well is directed into the unit’s resin vessel.
Ion Exchange
The cationic resin captures the calcium and magnesium ions that make water hard and releases sodium in their place.
Softened Water Out
Cleared of hardness, the soft water goes into the plumbing and reaches the points of use.
Automatic Regeneration
When the resin is exhausted it is renewed with brine; the captured hardness ions go to drain and the resin returns to service.
A Continuous Cycle

Consumables such as filters, membranes and resin are outside warranty cover — they are replaced when their service life ends; they do not fail.
