Microbiological Safety with the Under-Sink Ultraviolet Water Purifier

The Under-Sink Ultraviolet Water Purifier is a domestic unit that finishes the water with an ultraviolet stage after multi-stage filtration and reverse osmosis. The ultraviolet light at the final stage disrupts the structure of the microorganisms in the water and renders them inactive, adding a further measure of microbiological safety to your drinking water.

01Problem & Solution

Clear Water Is Not Always Enough

Problem

The Worry of Microbiological Risk

Water that has passed the filters and the membrane may look clear, but users can still want a further stage of microbiological safety. In some situations filtration alone does not give enough confidence.

Solution

An Ultraviolet Final Stage

After filtration and reverse osmosis, the Under-Sink Ultraviolet Water Purifier disrupts the structure of microorganisms at the ultraviolet stage and renders them inactive. It adds microbiological safety without any chemicals.

02Key Features

Multi-Stage, Safe, Practical

The Under-Sink Ultraviolet Water Purifier brings strong filtration together with ultraviolet safety.

RO + Ultraviolet

Combining reverse osmosis treatment with an ultraviolet final stage gives comprehensive treatment.

10 inch UV Lamp

A 10 inch ultraviolet lamp gives microbiological safety at domestic flow rates.

Chemical-Free Treatment

The ultraviolet stage disrupts the structure of microorganisms without any chemicals.

An Under-Sink Design

Its practical design takes little room under the counter and suits homes, offices and businesses.

Low Maintenance Costs

The ultraviolet stage produces no reject water and runs at low maintenance cost.

It Does Not Spoil the Taste

The ultraviolet stage does not change the taste, the smell or the chemical composition of the water.

05How It Works

How Does the Under-Sink Ultraviolet Water Purifier Work?

  1. Through the Pre-Filters

Mains water passes through the sediment and carbon pre-filters, which clear it of particles and chlorine and protect the membrane.

  2. Reverse Osmosis Treatment

The membrane lets only water molecules through, separating out dissolved salts, heavy metals and contaminants.

  3. The Ultraviolet Stage

The now-clear water passes the ultraviolet lamp, whose light disrupts the structure of microorganisms and renders them inactive.

  4. It Leaves the Taste Alone

The ultraviolet stage adds microbiological safety without changing the taste, the smell or the chemical composition of the water.

  5. Safe Water Out

Treated and having passed the ultraviolet stage, the water goes to the tap as drinking water.

06Making the Right Choice

What Decides the Right Unit

When choosing the Under-Sink Ultraviolet Water Purifier, your water requirement, what you expect of the safety and the space should be assessed.

Microbiological Safety

If you want a further stage of safety, the ultraviolet model is a step ahead of a standard unit.

Water Clarity

The ultraviolet stage needs clear water, so the pre-filtration and the membrane must be working well.

Water Requirement

The tank and capacity should be chosen to suit your daily consumption.

Floor Space

The space under the counter must be enough for the unit and the UV, and the dimensions should be checked.

07Maintenance and Use

Notes That Keep It Performing

  • The UV lamp should generally be renewed once a year to keep it working; even while it still lights, its effect falls over time.
  • The pre-filters and the membrane should be changed on time; keeping the water clear matters to how well the ultraviolet stage works.
  • The quartz sleeve can foul over time and should be cleaned to the manufacturer’s instructions so the light still passes.
  • The ultraviolet stage provides microbiological safety only; removing dissolved salts, hardness and sediment is the job of the filters and the membrane.

08Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

What does the Under-Sink Ultraviolet Water Purifier do?
It treats the water by multi-stage filtration and reverse osmosis, then disrupts the structure of microorganisms at the ultraviolet stage and renders them inactive, adding a further measure of microbiological safety to your drinking water.
How does the ultraviolet stage work?
Clear water is passed by an ultraviolet lamp. The light disrupts the structure of the microorganisms in the water and renders them inactive — with no chemicals and no change to the taste.
How does it differ from a standard unit?
A standard unit treats the water by filtration and reverse osmosis; the ultraviolet model adds microbiological safety at the final stage on top of that. It suits anyone who wants that extra measure.
How often should the UV lamp be changed?
Renewing it once a year is generally recommended. Even while it still lights its effect falls over time, so a regular change matters if the microbiological safety is to continue.
Does it change the taste of the water?
No. The ultraviolet stage does not change the taste, the smell or the chemical composition of the water; it provides microbiological safety only. Taste and how the water drinks are set by the filter stages.

Installation and commissioning

Installation is a service · plumbing is the customer’s responsibility

The system is delivered ready to install; it only needs to be connected to the inlet and outlet lines. If valve setup is required, we provide free support over a video call. Installation and commissioning fall under our service work and are subject to a service fee. Plumbing labour and any pipes, valves and fittings are not included in the price; these items are the customer’s responsibility.

Warranty

2 years · manufacturer

The system is covered by a 2-year manufacturer warranty. During the warranty period, labour and parts are free for faults arising from manufacture or installation. Consumables such as filters, membranes and resin are outside warranty cover — they are replaced when their service life ends; they do not fail.

Withdrawal and returns

Distance sales agreement

The right of withdrawal and the return terms are set out in detail in the distance sales agreement. Systems that have been installed and commissioned, and made-to-order products, are outside its scope.

How can we help?

Two different requests, two different forms.

The two forms ask different things: if we are building a new system we ask about your water and capacity; if your existing system needs service we ask for its brand and a photo.
