Clear water is directed around the quartz-sleeved ultraviolet lamp inside the stainless steel chamber.
It Is Exposed to Ultraviolet Light
The water is exposed to the ultraviolet light emitted by the lamp; the light reaches the cell structure of the microorganisms.
The Structure Breaks Down
The light breaks down the genetic structure of bacteria, viruses and microorganisms and stops them multiplying.
Chemical-Free Treatment
The process happens with light alone; no chemicals are added to the water and taste and odour do not change.

What Decides the Right Unit
When choosing the Ultraviolet Unit, the water flow and the clarity of the inlet water must be assessed correctly.
Water Flow Rate
Hourly water consumption determines the lamp power (watts) and unit capacity required.
Inlet Water Clarity
Turbid water reduces the effectiveness of the light; sediment and carbon filtration is needed beforehand.

Notes That Keep It Performing
- The lamp loses efficiency over time; even while it goes on emitting light, changing it once a year (around 9,000 hours) is generally recommended.
- The quartz sleeve can pick up limescale and sediment over time; cleaning it periodically preserves the transmission of the light.
- The unit should be kept permanently powered; switching it on and off frequently can shorten lamp life.
- The Ultraviolet Unit only provides microbiological safety; salts, limescale or sediment call for RO, softening and filters as well.

Warranty
2 years · manufacturerThe system is covered by a 2-year manufacturer warranty. During the warranty period, labour and parts are free for faults arising from manufacture or installation. Consumables such as filters, membranes and resin are outside warranty cover — they are replaced when their service life ends; they do not fail.
