How Does the Mini Cabinet Water Softener Work?
Hard Water In
Mains water is directed into the cationic resin bed inside the unit’s cabinet.
Ion Exchange
The resin captures the calcium and magnesium ions that make water hard and releases sodium in their place.
Soft Water Out
Cleared of hardness, the soft water goes into the plumbing and reaches the points of use.
Automatic Regeneration
When the resin is exhausted the unit backwashes itself and renews the resin with brine from the salt reservoir.
A Continuous Cycle
The unit returns to service and the cycle repeats; all you have to do is keep an eye on the salt level.

What does the Mini Cabinet Water Softener do?
It removes the calcium and magnesium ions in the water by ion exchange. With 2 tonnes a day of limescale treatment it protects the plumbing, the boiler and the white goods in homes and small businesses from scaling.
How does it differ from the Maxi model?
Both are cabinet-type central softeners; the difference is capacity. The Mini treats 2 tonnes a day and the Maxi 5. If your consumption is modest, the Mini is enough.
Is salt essential?
Yes. The resin is renewed (regenerated) with brine, so the salt reservoir must be kept topped up. With no salt the unit still runs but cannot soften.
Can softened water be drunk?
No. A softener removes hardness but not dissolved salts, and it adds sodium to the water. Softened water is for utility use; drinking water calls for a separate reverse osmosis system.
Does it take up much space?
No. With the resin vessel and salt reservoir in a single body it is compact and fits easily into a tight space. The water inlet and drain line should still be planned, though.

2 years · manufacturerThe system is covered by a 2-year manufacturer warranty. During the warranty period, labour and parts are free for faults arising from manufacture or installation. Consumables such as filters, membranes and resin are outside warranty cover — they are replaced when their service life ends; they do not fail.

Evin banyosu ve mutfağı oldukça dar olduğu için büyük cihazlara hiç yerimiz yoktu, bu yüzden Mini modelini tercih ettik. Kombinin altına tam sığdı ve hiç görüntü kirliliği yaratmadı. Küçük olmasına rağmen performansı şaşırtıcı; suyun sertliğini anında kesti. 1+1 veya 2+1 evlerde yaşayanlar ya da yer sıkıntısı olanlar için tam bir kurtarıcı. Boyundan büyük iş başarıyor, çok memnunuz.
