How Does the Automatic Sand Unit Work?
Water Enters the Bed
Raw water is directed into the quartz sand bed inside the vessel and begins to travel downwards through it.
Mechanical Filtration
The spaces between the sand grains physically capture sand, silt, rust and suspended solids.
Clear Water Out
Cleared of turbidity, the water leaves the unit’s outlet for the plumbing or the next treatment stage.
Automatic Backwash
At the set interval the valve reverses the flow, flushing the sediment and silt collected in the bed to drain.
Return to Service
When the wash is complete the unit returns automatically to service and filtration continues without interruption.

Consumables such as filters, membranes and resin are outside warranty cover — they are replaced when their service life ends; they do not fail.
