F111A3 RUNXIN WATER SOFTENER VALVE

The F111A3 Runxin Water Softener Valve is the flow-controlled automatic multi-port valve that forms the brain of an industrial water softener; by counting actual water consumption it regenerates the resin with brine at exactly the right moment, saving salt and water while keeping limescale treatment running without a break.

01Problem & Solution

Regeneration at the Wrong Moment

Problem

Salt and Water Down the Drain

Time-controlled valves wash to a calendar whether water has been used or not. At low consumption that wastes salt and water; at high consumption the resin becomes exhausted and hard water slips through to the plumbing.

Solution

Regeneration on Actual Consumption

The F111A3 Runxin Water Softener Valve meters the water passing through and starts regeneration when the resin is exhausted. Neither early nor late — it washes exactly when it needs to, and no salt or water is wasted.

02Key Features

Smart, Durable, Economical

The F111A3 Runxin Water Softener Valve is designed to bring efficiency and durability together in industrial softening systems.

Flow-Controlled Operation

Its metered design measures actual water consumption and starts regeneration exactly when it is needed.

Salt and Water Savings

With no unnecessary washes, salt and wash-water consumption fall markedly.

Ceramic Disc Sealing

A high-hardness ceramic disc design resists wear and corrosion for long service life.

Fully Automatic Cycles

It manages the service, backwash, brine draw, brine refill and fast rinse cycles itself.

High Flow Capacity

With a flow capacity of up to 20 m³ an hour it suits industrial-scale softening vessels.

Memory Retention

Settings are retained through a power cut, and the system picks up where it left off when power returns.

04Applications

Where Is It Used?

The F111A3 Runxin Water Softener Valve is used in industrial and commercial-scale limescale treatment systems.

  • Industrial Softening
  • Factories
  • Hotels & Hospitals
  • Boiler Feed Lines
  • RO Pre-Treatment
  • Residential Complexes & Apartment Blocks
  • Laundries
  • Valve Replacement

05How It Works

How Does the F111A3 Runxin Water Softener Valve Work?

  1. Service (Softening)

Hard water enters the vessel through the valve, passes through the cationic resin and leaves as soft water with the hardness removed.

  2. Flow Counting

The valve continuously counts the water passing through and calculates the exhaustion point from the hardness and resin values entered.

  3. Backwash

When the resin is exhausted the valve moves to the backwash cycle; the bed is lifted and the accumulated contamination flushed to drain.

  4. Brine Draw & Slow Rinse

The valve draws brine from the salt tank; the resin releases the calcium and magnesium it has captured and is renewed.

  5. Brine Refill & Fast Rinse

The salt tank is refilled, the resin cleared by a fast rinse, and the valve returns to service.

06Making the Right Choice

What Decides the Right Valve

When choosing the F111A3 Runxin Water Softener Valve, flow rate, vessel compatibility and control type must be assessed correctly.

System Flow Rate

The facility’s peak flow must suit the valve’s capacity; excessive flow creates pressure loss.

Tank Compatibility

The valve’s vessel connection size and riser tube diameter must match the existing vessel exactly.

Control Type

Choose flow-controlled (A3) where consumption varies, and time-controlled where use is steady and predictable.

Resin and Hardness

Resin volume and inlet water hardness determine the regeneration parameters entered into the valve.

07Maintenance and Use

Notes That Extend Its Life

  • The regeneration parameters — resin volume and hardness — must be entered correctly; wrong settings lead either to wasted salt or to hard water slipping through.
  • The salt level in the brine tank should be watched; with no salt the valve still operates but no regeneration takes place.
  • If there is sediment at the inlet a pre-filter should be used; particles wear the ceramic discs and the piston over time.
  • The O-rings and sealing elements should be checked periodically, and installation is best carried out by a technical service engineer.

08Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

What does the F111A3 Runxin Water Softener Valve do?
It is the control centre of a water softener. By managing the service, backwash, brine draw, brine refill and fast rinse cycles automatically, it regenerates the resin with brine and keeps limescale treatment running continuously.
What does “flow-controlled” mean?
The valve regenerates on the volume of water that has passed through rather than on elapsed time. Because it meters consumption there are no unnecessary washes, which cuts salt and water consumption markedly.
How does it differ from the F111A1?
Both are softener valves in the same F111 series. The F111A1 is timer-controlled and washes at a set interval. The F111A3 is flow-controlled (metered) and washes on actual consumption, which is more economical where use varies.
Can it be used instead of a filter valve?
No. A softener valve has brine draw and brine refill cycles and is for resin systems. Sand and activated carbon units use no salt; there a filter valve such as the F111B series should be used.
What is its flow rate?
F111 series valves have a flow capacity of up to 20 m³ an hour. Actual flow varies with vessel size, resin volume, inlet pressure and the pressure loss in the system.

Installation and commissioning

Installation is a service · plumbing is the customer’s responsibility

The system is delivered ready to install; it only needs to be connected to the inlet and outlet lines. If valve setup is required, we provide free support over a video call. Installation and commissioning fall under our service work and are subject to a service fee. Plumbing labour and any pipes, valves and fittings are not included in the price; these items are the customer’s responsibility.

Warranty

Consumable

This product is classed as a consumable or spare part; because its life depends on use, it is not covered by warranty. Faulty or incorrectly shipped items are replaced — just get in touch with us.

Withdrawal and returns

Distance sales agreement

The right of withdrawal and the return terms are set out in detail in the distance sales agreement. Systems that have been installed and commissioned, and made-to-order products, are outside its scope.

How can we help?

Two different requests, two different forms.

The two forms ask different things: if we are building a new system we ask about your water and capacity; if your existing system needs service we ask for its brand and a photo.
