05How It Works
How Does the 9100 Fleck Valve Work?
Softening from the First Tank
As hard water passes through the resin in the active tank, the hardness minerals are held back and soft water goes out to the pipework.
Changeover to the Second Tank
When the resin in the active tank is saturated, the valve transfers the flow to the second tank and soft water production continues uninterrupted.
Regeneration with Brine
The tank taken offline is washed with brine; the hardness ions held by the resin are released and the resin is regenerated.
Flushing the Hardness Away
The released hardness ions go to drain and the tank is ready to soften again.
A Continuous Cycle on the Timer
The electronic timer manages the changeovers and regeneration so the soft water flow never stops.

What is the difference between the 9100 Fleck and a Clack valve?
Both are US-made premium valves. The Fleck 9100 stands out for its mechanical reliability; the Clack WS1 is more modern with its electronic control. Water Point supplies spare parts for both brands.
When does the valve need servicing?
A piston and seal check, injector cleaning and filter maintenance once a year. After 5–7 years we recommend renewing the piston kit. Original Fleck spare parts are available in Türkiye.
Can the 9100 be used at home?
No. The 9100 is a high-capacity tandem (twin-tank) valve and is far more than a home needs. For domestic use, single valves such as the Fleck 5600 or 5810 are the right choice. The 9100 is for places that need uninterrupted water, such as hotels, hospitals and factories.
