Building Inlet Ultraviolet Water Treatment Unit

The Building Inlet Ultraviolet Water Treatment Unit connects to the main water line and uses UV light to remove the ability of microorganisms in the water to reproduce; without chemicals, and without changing the taste or smell of the water, it gives safer, better-quality water throughout the building.

01Problem & Solution

Microbiological Risk in the Water

Problem

Filters Are Not Enough for Microorganisms

Old pipework, storage tanks and well water all carry a risk of microorganisms entering the water. Sediment and chlorine filters are not enough against them; a further treatment stage is needed on the main line.

Solution

Main-Line Treatment with UV Light

The Building Inlet Ultraviolet Water Treatment Unit passes the water on the main line through UV light, disrupting the structure of microorganisms and removing their ability to reproduce. Without adding chemicals or changing the taste of the water, it gives the whole building safer water.

02Key Features

Chemical-Free, Effective, Economical

The Building Inlet Ultraviolet Water Treatment Unit is designed to provide microbiological safety on the main line without chemicals.

UV Treatment

Ultraviolet light disrupts the structure of microorganisms and stops them reproducing.

No Chemicals Used

It adds no chemicals and changes neither the taste, the smell nor the chemical composition of the water.

No Water to Drain

Unlike membrane systems it sends no concentrate to drain; all the water passes through the line.

A Building Main-Line Solution

Connected to the main line, it treats all the water for the building or flat at a single point.

Stainless Steel Body

Its 304 stainless steel body gives a hygienic, long-lasting structure.

Low Maintenance

Changing the UV lamp once a year is usually all it takes to keep it working continuously and efficiently.

FeatureValueWhat it does
TechnologyUltraviolet (UV) LightThe treatment technology used. Reverse osmosis takes out salts and heavy metals; carbon takes out taste and odour.
ConnectionBuilding / Flat Main LineWhere it connects to the system. A building inlet and a flat’s internal plumbing call for different products.
Body304 Stainless SteelThe outer body material. Stainless steel means high pressure and a long life.

04Applications

Where Is It Used?

The Building Inlet Ultraviolet Water Treatment Unit suits main-line applications where microbiological safety is wanted.

  • Apartment Block & Building Inlets
  • Villas
  • Hotels
  • Hospitals
  • Cafés & Restaurants
  • Factories
  • Well / Tank Water Lines
  • Final Treatment After RO

05How It Works

How Does the UV Unit Work?

  1. Water Enters from the Main Line

Water from the main line at the building inlet is directed into the stainless steel UV reactor.

  2. Passing Through the UV Light

The water passes around the UV lamp inside its quartz sleeve and is exposed directly to the light.

  3. Microorganisms Are Rendered Unable to Reproduce

UV energy disrupts the structure of microorganisms, stopping them reproducing and making the water microbiologically safer.

  4. The Water Goes On Unchanged

The UV process adds no chemicals; the taste, smell and content of the water are preserved as it goes out to the building’s line.

  5. Annual Lamp Renewal

Because a UV lamp loses output over time it is usually renewed once a year, which keeps the treatment effective.

06Making the Right Choice

What Decides the Right Unit

When choosing the Building Inlet Ultraviolet Water Treatment Unit, assess the flow rate and the pre-treatment conditions carefully.

Water Flow Rate

The building’s instantaneous flow rate determines the UV lamp power and reactor capacity needed.

Pre-Treatment

Clear water improves UV performance; with turbid water a sediment or coarse filter is needed ahead of it.

Water Source

Whether the source is mains, well or tank water affects the pre-treatment and the choice of unit.

Connection and Installation

The main line’s connection diameter and the installation space should be assessed before fitting.

07Maintenance and Use

Notes That Keep It Performing

  • A UV lamp loses output over time; to keep performance up it should usually be renewed once a year.
  • Clean the quartz sleeve periodically; dirt building up on it stops the light reaching the water.
  • Keep the unit powered at all times; running it continuously ensures the water is always exposed to the light.
  • A UV unit does not remove chlorine, limescale or sediment; for those it should be used together with carbon, softening or sediment filters.

08Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

What does the Building Inlet Ultraviolet Water Treatment Unit do?
Connected to the main water line, it uses UV light to remove the ability of microorganisms in the water to reproduce. Without adding chemicals or changing the taste or smell, it makes all the water in the building microbiologically safer.
Does it add chemicals or change the taste?
No. UV works on light energy alone; it adds no chemicals and changes neither the taste, the smell nor the chemical composition of the water. It also sends nothing to drain.
Does it remove limescale, chlorine and sediment?
No. A UV unit addresses microorganisms only; it does not remove limescale, chlorine or sediment. For those it needs to be used together with a water softener, activated carbon and sediment filters.
What maintenance does it need?
Very little; renewing the UV lamp once a year is usually enough. Cleaning the quartz sleeve periodically is recommended so the light works efficiently.
Where is it used?
At apartment block and building inlets, villas, hotels, hospitals, cafés, restaurants and factories — anywhere microbiological safety is wanted on the main line. It is also chosen for well and tank water lines, or as a final treatment stage after reverse osmosis.

Products in stock ship free anywhere in Türkiye and arrive within 1–3 business days. Items not in stock are supplied to order — the lead time is confirmed to you when the order is approved.

Installation and commissioning

Installation is a service · plumbing is the customer’s responsibility

The system is delivered ready to install; it only needs to be connected to the inlet and outlet lines. If valve setup is required, we provide free support over a video call. Installation and commissioning fall under our service work and are subject to a service fee. Plumbing labour and any pipes, valves and fittings are not included in the price; these items are the customer’s responsibility.

Warranty

2 years · manufacturer

The system is covered by a 2-year manufacturer warranty. During the warranty period, labour and parts are free for faults arising from manufacture or installation. Consumables such as filters, membranes and resin are outside warranty cover — they are replaced when their service life ends; they do not fail.

Withdrawal and returns

Distance sales agreement

The right of withdrawal and the return terms are set out in detail in the distance sales agreement. Systems that have been installed and commissioned, and made-to-order products, are outside its scope.

Cancellation and return terms

How can we help?

Two different requests, two different forms.

The two forms ask different things: if we are building a new system we ask about your water and capacity; if your existing system needs service we ask for its brand and a photo.
