High-Capacity Limescale Treatment with the Face-Piped Softening System

The Face-Piped Softening System is a high-capacity industrial water softening system that removes the calcium and magnesium (hardness) in water by ion exchange with cationic resin. Its fibreglass media tank and face pipework running outside the tank give durability and easy maintenance.

01Problem & Solution

Hard Water Wears Equipment Down

Problem

Limescale Build-Up and Lost Efficiency

Water of high hardness causes limescale to build up in boilers, heat exchangers, pipes and machinery. That build-up reduces heat transfer, raises energy consumption and shortens equipment life.

Solution

Ion Exchange with Resin

The Face-Piped Softening System removes hardness by holding the calcium and magnesium in the water on cationic resin and giving sodium in return. With automatic regeneration it provides uninterrupted soft water at high capacity.

02Key Features

High Capacity, Automatic, Durable

The Face-Piped Softening System is built with a durable, service-friendly structure to match the high water demand of a business.

The Advantage of Face Piping

The PVC-U pipes run outside the tank; valves and gate valves are easy to reach, so maintenance takes less time.

500 L Cationic Resin

The high resin volume gives high-capacity, uninterrupted hardness treatment.

Fibreglass (FRP) Tank

The corrosion-resistant fibreglass media tank works safely across different pressure ranges.

Automatic Operation

Automatic operation and backwashing keep user intervention to a minimum and raise operating efficiency.

Electrically Actuated Valves

Cast butterfly valves manage regeneration and the direction of flow automatically and safely.

Equipment Protection

By removing hardness it protects boilers, heat exchangers and machinery against limescale build-up.

04Applications

Where Is It Used?

The Face-Piped Softening System is used in industrial plants that need high-capacity limescale treatment.

  • Boiler Rooms
  • Factories & Production Plants
  • Hotels & Hospitals
  • Cooling Towers
  • RO Pre-Treatment
  • Laundries
  • Housing Estates & Large Buildings
  • Food & Textile Manufacturing

05How It Works

How Does the Face-Piped Softening System Work?

  1. Water Enters the Resin Tank

Hard water passes through the face pipework and is directed onto the cationic resin bed inside the fibreglass tank.

  2. Ion Exchange Takes Place

The resin holds the calcium and magnesium that make the water hard and softens it by giving sodium in return.

  3. Soft Water Out

Softened water, with the hardness removed, is delivered to the plant’s service or process line.

  4. The Resin Becomes Saturated

Over time the resin fills with calcium and magnesium and its softening capacity falls; regeneration is needed.

  5. Automatic Regeneration with Salt

The system renews the resin automatically with a salt solution and returns to service after backwashing.

06Making the Right Choice

What Decides the Right System

When choosing the Face-Piped Softening System, the water hardness, flow and use must be assessed correctly.

Water Hardness

The degree of hardness in the water determines the resin volume needed and the frequency of regeneration.

Water Flow Rate

The hourly and daily water demand directly affects the tank size and the capacity of the system.

Pre-Treatment Requirement

On turbid or sediment-laden water, pre-filtration such as a sand filter before the softener is recommended.

How Critical Is Continuity

Where soft water is needed 24/7 without interruption, twin-tank (tandem) solutions can be considered.

07Maintenance and Use

Notes That Keep It Performing

  • The salt level should be checked regularly and topped up when it runs low; when the salt runs out regeneration cannot take place and softening stops.
  • Face piping makes the valves easy to reach; valves and seals should be checked periodically.
  • If the resin loses efficiency over the years it should be renewed; the hardness of the outlet water should be tested periodically.
  • The Face-Piped Softening System removes hardness only; separate stages are needed for suspended solids, turbidity and dissolved salts.

08Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

What does the Face-Piped Softening System do?
It removes the calcium and magnesium (hardness) in water by ion exchange with cationic resin. That prevents limescale building up in boilers, heat exchangers, pipes and machinery, protecting the equipment and providing soft water at high capacity.
How does it differ from a sand filter system?
A softening system removes hardness (limescale) with resin; a sand filter holds suspended solids and turbidity mechanically. The two are usually installed in series: the sand filter holds the particles first, then softening removes the limescale.
How does regeneration work?
When the resin fills with calcium and magnesium, the system renews it automatically with a salt (sodium chloride) solution and returns to service after backwashing. That is why keeping an eye on the salt level matters.
What advantage does “face-piped” give?
Because the pipes and valves run outside the tank, along its face, the equipment is easy to reach. That shortens maintenance times and allows quick action in the event of a fault.
Does it make the water drinkable?
It removes hardness but does not treat drinking water on its own; it does not remove suspended solids, dissolved salts or microorganisms. For drinkable water it is used together with sand filter, carbon and reverse osmosis stages.

This product is not held in stock; it is supplied to order and the lead time is confirmed to you when the order is approved. Shipping is free anywhere in Türkiye.

Installation and commissioning

Installation is a service · plumbing is the customer’s responsibility

The system is delivered ready to install; it only needs to be connected to the inlet and outlet lines. If valve setup is required, we provide free support over a video call. Installation and commissioning fall under our service work and are subject to a service fee. Plumbing labour and any pipes, valves and fittings are not included in the price; these items are the customer’s responsibility.

Warranty

2 years · manufacturer

The system is covered by a 2-year manufacturer warranty. During the warranty period, labour and parts are free for faults arising from manufacture or installation. Consumables such as filters, membranes and resin are outside warranty cover — they are replaced when their service life ends; they do not fail.

Site Survey

Free when the system is bought from us

The site survey is free when the system is purchased from us. A survey fee of ₺2,000 applies if you request the survey and measurement only.

Withdrawal and returns

Distance sales agreement

The right of withdrawal and the return terms are set out in detail in the distance sales agreement. Systems that have been installed and commissioned, and made-to-order products, are outside its scope.

How can we help?

Two different requests, two different forms.

The two forms ask different things: if we are building a new system we ask about your water and capacity; if your existing system needs service we ask for its brand and a photo.
