How Do Bag Filters Work?
Water Enters the PVC Body
Dirty water is taken in through the inlet of the PVC body and directed into the filter bag held by the support basket.
Inside-Out Filtration
As water passes from the inside of the bag to the outside, particles are held inside it according to the micron rating chosen.
Clean Water Outlet
Water freed of particles leaves through the body outlet to the next stage or to use.
Pressure Monitoring
As the bag fills the pressure difference rises; that rise is the most reliable sign that it is time to change.
Bag Change
A full bag is removed and replaced with a new one; because the dirt stays in the bag, the body needs no cleaning.

Notes That Keep It Performing
- The bag should be changed when the pressure difference rises noticeably; depending on water quality its life is usually 1–6 months.
- The PVC body must be used within the manufacturer’s pressure and temperature limits; exceeding them can damage the body.
- If the bag is not changed in time it blocks, and the dirt that builds up can be carried to the equipment downstream; monitoring the pressure matters.
- Bag Filters only hold particles; softening, carbon and reverse osmosis stages are needed for dissolved salts, limescale and chlorine.

When is the bag changed?

Does it make the water drinkable?
No. Bag Filters only hold coarse dirt (particles, sediment, sand); they do not remove dissolved salts, limescale, chlorine or microorganisms. Drinkable water calls for advanced stages such as reverse osmosis.

2 years · manufacturerThe system is covered by a 2-year manufacturer warranty. During the warranty period, labour and parts are free for faults arising from manufacture or installation. Consumables such as filters, membranes and resin are outside warranty cover — they are replaced when their service life ends; they do not fail.
