05How It Works

How Does the Water Point Tegra Water Dispenser Work?

  1. It Is Connected to the Mains

The dispenser is connected to the mains water line; the water is directed to the filter stages for treatment.

  2. Pre-Filters & Carbon

The spun sediment and carbon stages reduce sediment, chlorine, taste and odour, and protect the membrane.

  3. Reverse Osmosis & Post Carbon

The membrane separates dissolved substances; the post carbon improves the taste of the water.

  4. Hot & Cold Are Separated

The treated water is prepared and held hot and cold in stainless reservoirs.

  5. Served at the Tap

The user draws fresh, clear drinking water at the temperature they want straight from the taps.

06Making the Right Choice

What Decides the Right Dispenser

When choosing the Water Point Tegra Water Dispenser, the intensity of use, water options and the space should be assessed.

How Heavily It Is Used

Daily consumption and the number of people determine the right capacity and model.

Water Options

Your preferences, such as hot, cold or a sensor or pedal version, matter in choosing the model.

Siting & Connection

The position of the unit, the mains connection and access to a socket should be planned in advance.

Maintenance & Service

Regular filter changes and service support matter for long, trouble-free use.

07Maintenance and Use

Notes That Preserve Hygiene

  • The filters should generally be changed every 6–12 months; a filter past its time reduces the quality and taste of the water.
  • The hot and cold reservoirs and the taps should be cleaned regularly for hygiene.
  • After a long period without use, running a few glasses of water through refreshes the reservoir and lines.
  • With the Water Point annual service package, filter changes and hygiene maintenance can be carried out regularly.

08Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

What does the Water Point Tegra Water Dispenser do?
It treats mains water with a 5-stage reverse osmosis filter to produce fresh, clear and odour-free drinking water, and serves it hot and cold. With its stainless body it is a durable alternative to bottled water, especially in offices and workplaces.
How does it differ from a countertop dispenser?
A countertop dispenser is a compact solution that sits on the kitchen worktop. The Tegra is a free-standing, stainless-bodied dispenser of higher capacity, designed for busy areas such as offices and workplaces.
Does it do hot and cold together?
The unit has hot and cold water sections. Depending on the model and your preference, the hot water feature may be standard or supplied on request; the choice follows how you will use it.
What is the advantage over bottled water?
Because it treats mains water where it is used, it removes the burden of carrying, storing and constantly reordering water bottles. That makes for a continuous and more economical drinking water solution.
How often does it need servicing?
A filter change every 6–12 months and regular hygiene cleaning of the internal reservoir are generally recommended. With the Water Point annual service package you can have this maintenance carried out regularly.
