Pressure Vessel · Sand · Carbon · Softening
Sand, Carbon and Softener Vessels are the pressure-rated composite tanks that form the bodies of sand, activated carbon and water softening units; they hold the media bed loaded into them safely, stand up to backwash and regeneration cycles, and lay the foundation for a system that lasts.
01Problem & Solution
Problem
Filter and softening systems run under constant pressure, with extra strain during backwash and regeneration. An inadequate vessel deforms over time, leaks and brings the whole system to a stop.
Solution
Sand, Carbon and Softener Vessels are built to stand up to continuous pressure and to wash cycles. They do not corrode, they hold the media bed safely, and they run trouble-free for years.
02Key Features
Sand, Carbon and Softener Vessels are designed to hold different media beds in the same dependable body.
Built to withstand continuous working pressure and backwash cycles.
Its composite construction neither rusts nor deforms in brine and regeneration conditions.
The same body can be used in sand, activated carbon and water softening units.
A standard valve connection size fits automatic and manual valves easily.
Vessels are offered in different volumes, from domestic to industrial scale.
Chosen correctly, the same vessel serves for years even as the media inside it is renewed several times.
03Technical Specifications
| Feature | Value | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Product Type | Pressure Filter Vessel | Which family the unit belongs to. Products in the same family can be used in place of one another. |
| Use | Sand · Carbon · Softening | What setting it was designed for. A domestic unit will not carry a commercial load. |
| Body | Composite (FRP) | The outer body material. Stainless steel means high pressure and a long life. |
| Contents | Empty (No Media) | What comes in the box. |
| Connection | With Valve Neck | Where it connects to the system. A building inlet and a flat’s internal plumbing call for different products. |
| Size | To Project | The physical size. If a spare does not match this, it will not go into the housing. |
| Weight | 2 kg | Product weight. For wall mounting, the supporting surface is chosen accordingly. |
| Dimensions | 15 × 15 × 140 cm | The outer dimensions of the unit. The cabinet or plant room has to be wider than this. |
04Applications
Sand, Carbon and Softener Vessels are used as the body of every media-bed treatment unit.
05How It Works
The vessel is charged with quartz sand, activated carbon or cationic resin according to the unit’s job.
A suitable control valve is fitted to the vessel’s neck, defining the water inlet, outlet and drain paths.
As the water passes through the media bed inside, the vessel safely contains the pressure and the treatment takes place.
When the valve moves to the wash cycle the water flows in reverse, and the vessel stands up to the strain of that cycle too.
When the media reaches the end of its life the vessel is emptied and recharged, and the same vessel carries on in service.
06Making the Right Choice
When choosing Sand, Carbon and Softener Vessels, flow rate, media volume and valve compatibility must be assessed correctly.
The plant’s hourly flow rate determines the vessel diameter and therefore the surface area of the bed.
The quantity of sand, carbon or resin required is the main criterion determining the vessel’s volume.
The vessel’s neck size and riser tube diameter must suit the valve model to be used.
Vessel height, headroom and the access needed for loading media should all be planned.

The system is delivered ready to install; it only needs to be connected to the inlet and outlet lines. If valve setup is required, we provide free support over a video call. Installation and commissioning fall under our service work and are subject to a service fee. Plumbing labour and any pipes, valves and fittings are not included in the price; these items are the customer’s responsibility.
