Bypass Fitting · 3/4″ Connection

No Interruption During Service: the Runxin Bypass Valve

The Runxin Bypass Valve is a fitting that sits between the control valve and the plumbing and, when needed, takes the unit out of circuit and sends the water straight on. With a 3/4″ inlet and outlet, it lets you keep water flowing to the building during servicing, a filter change or a fault on softening and filter systems.

01Problem & Solution

No Need to Shut the Water Off to Service It

Problem

When the Unit Stops, So Does the Plumbing

On an installation without a bypass, servicing the unit, renewing the resin or dealing with a fault means closing the main valve. That leaves the whole building or business without water, stretches the job out and drains the pipework.

Solution

Out of Circuit with One Movement

The Runxin Bypass Valve separates the unit from the line while routing the water from inlet to outlet. Water keeps running from the taps even while the unit is being serviced, so maintenance is comfortable and the business never stops.

02Key Features

Practical, Leak-Free, Compatible

The Runxin Bypass Valve is a connection solution that simplifies installation and service work.

3/4″ Inlet and Outlet

A 3/4″ connection suits the plumbing commonly found in homes and workplaces.

Switch in One Movement

It switches quickly between service and bypass, with no tools needed.

O-Ring Sealing

Gaskets and O-rings keep the joint between valve and plumbing leak-free.

Connects Straight to the Control Valve

It is designed to mount directly onto the inlet and outlet ports of Runxin control valves.

It Shortens Service Time

It removes the steps of closing the main valve, draining the line and refilling it.

A Fallback in a Fault

If something unexpected goes wrong with the unit, switching the line to bypass keeps the water flowing.

04Applications

Where Is It Used?

The Runxin Bypass Valve is used on treatment installations that run on a vessel and a control valve.

  • Water Softening Units
  • Cabinet Softening Systems
  • Sediment & Carbon Filter Vessels
  • Apartment & Villa Inlets
  • Cafés & Restaurants
  • New System Installations
  • Bypass Renewal / Replacement
  • Service & Installation Engineers

05How It Works

How Does the Runxin Bypass Valve Work?

  1. It Sits Between Valve and Plumbing

The fitting mounts on the control valve’s inlet and outlet ports, and the plumbing connects to the fitting.

  2. The Service Position

In normal operation water passes from the fitting into the unit and, once treated, goes out to the plumbing.

  3. Switched to Bypass

Turn the lever or knob and the path to the unit closes; the water takes the short route inside straight to the outlet.

  4. The Service Is Done

With the unit depressurised, renewing the resin, changing filters or servicing the valve can be done safely.

  5. Back Into Service

When the work is done the fitting is turned slowly back to service and the unit comes back into circuit.

06Making the Right Choice

What Determines the Right Bypass

When choosing the Runxin Bypass Valve, port size, valve model and the plumbing layout should be assessed together.

Connection Diameter

This product is 3/4″; it must match your control valve’s inlet and outlet size.

Valve Model

Bypass fittings differ by valve series, and model compatibility should be checked.

Plumbing Flow Rate

Where the line needs a higher flow, a larger-diameter valve and bypass combination is the one to choose.

Installation Space

Leave enough clearance behind the valve to turn the fitting’s lever comfortably.

07Maintenance and Use

Notes That Keep It Sealed

Fitted correctly and given a few simple checks, the Runxin Bypass Valve works trouble-free for a long time.

  • Change position slowly; a sudden switch can cause a pressure surge in the plumbing.
  • A fitting left unused for a long time should be turned occasionally so the moving parts do not seize.
  • O-rings and gaskets are wearing parts and should be renewed when a leak appears.
  • Water flowing in the bypass position is untreated; use this position only for the duration of the service.

08Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

What does the Runxin Bypass Valve do?
It separates the treatment unit from the plumbing temporarily. In bypass, water goes straight to the outlet without passing through the unit, so you can keep supplying the building during servicing, a filter change or a fault.
Does it treat the water?
No. This is a connection fitting; it does not treat water and does not reduce hardness. The treatment is done by the resin or filter media inside the unit; the fitting only decides which way the water goes.
Does water keep flowing in bypass?
Yes, water keeps running from the taps. But because it has not passed through the unit it is untreated — suitable for the duration of a service, not for permanent use.
Which valves does it fit?
It is designed for Runxin control valves with 3/4″ inlet and outlet. Valves with a different port size need a bypass fitting of the matching diameter.
Is a Runxin Bypass Valve essential on an installation?
It is not compulsory but it is strongly recommended. On a system without one, every service means closing the main valve — leaving the whole building without water and stretching the job out.

How can we help?

Two different requests, two different forms.

The two forms ask different things: if we are building a new system we ask about your water and capacity; if your existing system needs service we ask for its brand and a photo.
