05How It Works
How Does the 9500 Fleck Valve Work?
Softening from the First Tank
As hard water passes through the resin in the active tank, the hardness minerals are held back and soft water goes out to the pipework.
Changeover to the Second Tank
When the resin in the active tank is saturated, the valve transfers the flow to the second tank and soft water production continues even at high flow.
Regeneration with Brine
The tank taken offline is washed with brine; the hardness ions held by the resin are released and the resin is regenerated.
Flushing the Hardness Away
The released hardness ions go to drain and the tank is ready to soften again.
The Cycle Under Digital Control
The digital control unit manages the changeovers and regeneration so the soft water flow never stops.
