RO Membrane Housing

The RO Membrane Housing is the pressure-rated shell that holds the reverse osmosis membrane; by letting water enter the membrane under pressure and keeping the treated water and the reject on separate lines, it makes the treatment stage work safely and without leaks.

01Problem & Solution

A Membrane Cannot Work on Its Own

Problem

Pressure and Sealing Are Essential

A reverse osmosis membrane only works under pressure. A worn or cracked housing leads to leaks, pressure loss and treated water mixing with the reject, and the unit’s efficiency falls.

Solution

A Solid, Leak-Free Housing

The RO Membrane Housing holds the membrane safely under pressure. Keeping the inlet, the treated water outlet and the reject line separate is what makes the system work correctly.

02Key Features

Solid, Leak-Free, Compatible

The RO Membrane Housing is designed to keep the treatment stage working safely and without interruption.

Pressure Rating

A solid body that safely contains the pressure the membrane needs to work.

Three-Way Connection

It routes the water inlet, the treated water outlet and the reject line separately and cleanly.

O-Ring Sealing

The cap and O-ring arrangement gives a leak-free seal under pressure.

Easy Membrane Changes

Open the cap, withdraw the membrane and fit a new one — the service is straightforward.

Unit Compatibility

It is chosen to suit the standard membrane size of domestic and office under-sink units.

Long Service Life

The membrane inside may be renewed several times, but the same housing goes on serving for years.

04Applications

Where Is It Used?

The RO Membrane Housing is found in every domestic and office unit that uses a membrane.

  • Domestic RO Systems
  • Under-Sink Units
  • Pumped Units
  • Pump-Free Units
  • Offices
  • Filtered Water Dispensers
  • Replacing a Leaking Housing
  • Spare Parts Supply

05How It Works

How Does the RO Membrane Housing Work?

  1. Loading the Membrane

The reverse osmosis membrane is placed inside the housing and the cap sealed with its O-ring.

  2. Water Enters Under Pressure

Water from the pre-filters is driven in through the housing’s inlet under pressure and feeds the membrane.

  3. It Holds the Pressure

The housing safely carries the pressure the membrane needs to work, without leaking.

  4. The Two Lines Separate

The treated water goes to the tank through one outlet, while the reject carrying the contamination is discharged through another.

  5. Membrane Replacement

When the membrane reaches the end of its life the cap is opened, the membrane renewed and the same housing carries on in use.

06Making the Right Choice

What Determines the Right Housing

In choosing the RO Membrane Housing, the membrane size and connection compatibility are decisive.

Membrane Size

The housing must suit the size of the membrane going into it; 1812 is the common domestic size.

Connection Size

Fitting type and hose diameter vary by unit, and compatibility with your unit should be confirmed.

Whether It Is Leaking

If the housing is cracked or the cap threads have been strained, replace the housing rather than the O-ring.

System Pressure

On pumped units the pressure is higher, which makes the housing’s strength matter more still.

07Maintenance and Use

Notes That Extend Its Life

  • Check the cap O-ring when changing the membrane; a worn O-ring leads to a leak.
  • Do not overtighten the cap; strained threads can crack and leak permanently.
  • Watch the flow arrows when fitting the membrane; fitted the wrong way round it treats nothing.
  • If you notice dripping at a connection, deal with it straight away; fitting should be done by a technical service engineer.

08Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

What does the RO Membrane Housing do?
It is the pressure-rated shell that holds the reverse osmosis membrane. It lets water enter the membrane under pressure and keeps the treated water and reject lines apart, so the system runs without leaks.
Does the housing treat water?
No. The housing is a shell; the treatment is done by the reverse osmosis membrane inside it. The housing’s job is to hold the membrane safely under pressure and route the water correctly.
Is it changed with the membrane?
No. The membrane is renewed periodically while the housing stays and can serve for years. It is replaced only when it cracks, its threads are strained or it leaks permanently.
Why does it have three connections?
There is one inlet, one treated water outlet and one reject outlet. In reverse osmosis the water splits in two: the treated water goes to the tank and the concentrated reject carrying the contamination goes to drain.
Will it fit my unit?
The housing must suit the size of the membrane going into it; domestic units generally use 1812 membranes. Connection size and fitting type vary by unit model, so compatibility should be confirmed in advance.

Products in stock ship free anywhere in Türkiye and arrive within 1–3 business days. Items not in stock are supplied to order — the lead time is confirmed to you when the order is approved.

Installation and commissioning

Installation is a service · plumbing is the customer’s responsibility

The system is delivered ready to install; it only needs to be connected to the inlet and outlet lines. If valve setup is required, we provide free support over a video call. Installation and commissioning fall under our service work and are subject to a service fee. Plumbing labour and any pipes, valves and fittings are not included in the price; these items are the customer’s responsibility.

Warranty

Consumable

This product is classed as a consumable or spare part; because its life depends on use, it is not covered by warranty. Faulty or incorrectly shipped items are replaced — just get in touch with us.

Withdrawal and returns

Distance sales agreement

The right of withdrawal and the return terms are set out in detail in the distance sales agreement. Systems that have been installed and commissioned, and made-to-order products, are outside its scope.

Cancellation and return terms

How can we help?

Two different requests, two different forms.

The two forms ask different things: if we are building a new system we ask about your water and capacity; if your existing system needs service we ask for its brand and a photo.
