Pressure Vessel · 8″ Membrane Housing
The 5-Element RO 8″ Membrane Vessel is the pressure vessel that houses 8″ (8040) membranes in industrial reverse osmosis systems, built to withstand process pressure. Carrying five membranes in a single body, it makes for a compact, tidy and safe installation on high-flow systems.
01Problem & Solution
Problem
Pressure is a critical parameter in a reverse osmosis system. A vessel of the wrong pressure rating or with the wrong port design can bring leaks, connection problems, lost output and a safety risk.
Solution
The 5-Element RO 8″ Membrane Vessel houses five 8″ membranes in series inside a single body. Built to withstand process pressure, it carries them safely and simplifies the pipework and rack design.
02Key Features
The 5-Element RO 8″ Membrane Vessel makes for a safe, tidy installation in industrial systems.
Carrying five 8″ membranes in one body saves floor space on high-flow systems.
A solid construction built to withstand process pressure keeps operation safe.
It suits common 8 inch × 40 inch membranes and can be used with different brands.
The end-cap set, O-rings and retaining components keep the connections leak-free.
Running the membranes in series helps raise the system’s recovery rate.
Removing the end caps makes membrane changes and inspections straightforward.
03Technical Specifications
| Feature | Value | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Product Type | Membrane Housing (Pressure Vessel) | Which family the unit belongs to. Products in the same family can be used in place of one another. |
| Element Count | 5 Membranes | |
| Membrane Size | 8" (8040) | The physical size. If a spare does not match this, it will not go into the housing. |
| Position | In Series (One Body) | Where the unit will stand. |
| Use | Industrial RO Systems | What setting it was designed for. A domestic unit will not carry a commercial load. |
| Function | Membrane Enclosure | What the product does to the water. |
04Applications
The 5-Element RO 8″ Membrane Vessel is used on high-flow industrial treatment lines.
05How It Works
Five 8040 membranes are loaded into the vessel in series and joined with interconnectors.
The body is sealed with the end-cap set, O-rings and retaining components.
Water from the high-pressure pump enters the vessel at the feed port and reaches the first membrane.
The water passes through the membranes one after another, with some treated water drawn off at each stage.
The treated water is taken off at the permeate port and the concentrated reject leaves through the concentrate port.
06Making the Right Choice
When choosing the 5-Element RO 8″ Membrane Vessel, pressure rating, capacity and connections should be assessed.
The system’s working pressure determines the vessel’s pressure rating; seawater lines call for a higher class.
The target capacity and recovery rate determine how many elements the vessel should hold.
Side-entry or end-entry design should be chosen according to the pipework and rack layout.
The vessel’s length and the clear space needed for membrane changes should be planned in advance.

The system is delivered ready to install; it only needs to be connected to the inlet and outlet lines. If valve setup is required, we provide free support over a video call. Installation and commissioning fall under our service work and are subject to a service fee. Plumbing labour and any pipes, valves and fittings are not included in the price; these items are the customer’s responsibility.
The system is covered by a 2-year manufacturer warranty. During the warranty period, labour and parts are free for faults arising from manufacture or installation. Consumables such as filters, membranes and resin are outside warranty cover — they are replaced when their service life ends; they do not fail.
The right of withdrawal and the return terms are set out in detail in the distance sales agreement. Systems that have been installed and commissioned, and made-to-order products, are outside its scope.
