Industrial 20 inch Pre-Filter Set

The Industrial 20 inch Pre-Filter Set is a large-volume cartridge set that removes sediment, chlorine, off-taste and odour on commercial and industrial units with heavy water consumption; with twice the filter volume of 10 inch cartridges it lasts longer, handles higher flow and loses less pressure, protecting the membrane effectively.

01Problem & Solution

A Small Cartridge Cannot Cope with Heavy Use

Problem

Frequent Changes and Lost Pressure

On heavily used units 10 inch cartridges fill quickly; changes come round more often, pressure loss grows and the membrane is not properly protected. Both the operating burden and the membrane’s life become a problem.

Solution

Twice the Filter Volume

With cartridges twice as long, the Industrial 20 inch Pre-Filter Set holds more contamination. The change interval lengthens, pressure loss falls and the membrane is better protected.

02Key Features

Large Volume, High Flow

The Industrial 20 inch Pre-Filter Set is designed to strengthen pre-treatment on heavily used units.

The Sediment Stage

Capturing sand, silt, rust and suspended solids protects the stages that follow and the membrane.

Granular Activated Carbon (GAC)

Adsorbing chlorine, off-taste, odour and organic contaminants improves the water markedly.

Carbon Block (CTO)

A compressed carbon block captures the remaining chlorine and fine contaminants, protecting the membrane from chlorine damage.

Longer Life

Twice the filter volume holds more contamination, and the change interval lengthens markedly.

Low Pressure Loss

A large filter surface keeps pressure loss low even at high flow.

It Extends Membrane Life

Capturing chlorine and sediment effectively markedly extends the life of the reverse osmosis membrane.

04Applications

Where Is It Used?

The Industrial 20 inch Pre-Filter Set is used on high-flow, heavily used treatment units.

  • Direct Flow RO Units
  • Commercial Units
  • Restaurants & Cafés
  • Hotels & Canteens
  • Factories
  • Pure Water Systems
  • Pre-Treatment for Merlin Units
  • Filter Renewal

05How It Works

How Does the Industrial 20 inch Pre-Filter Set Work?

  1. Loading the Housings

The cartridges are loaded in order into the unit’s 20 inch filter housings, which are then closed and sealed.

  2. Stage 1: The Sediment Filter

Raw water passes first through the sediment cartridge, where sand, silt, rust and suspended solids are captured.

  3. Stage 2: Granular Carbon

As the water passes through the granular activated carbon bed, chlorine, off-taste, odour and organic matter are adsorbed.

  4. Stage 3: Carbon Block

The compressed carbon block captures the remaining chlorine and fine contaminants, protecting the membrane from chlorine damage.

  5. On to the Membrane

Having passed pre-treatment, the water reaches the reverse osmosis membrane clean, and the membrane lasts longer.

06Making the Right Choice

10 inch or 20 inch?

In choosing the Industrial 20 inch Pre-Filter Set, unit compatibility, flow and contamination load are decisive.

Housing Size

The cartridge length must match the unit’s filter housing exactly; a 20 inch cartridge will not fit a 10 inch housing.

How Heavily You Use It

In heavily used businesses the 20 inch set lengthens the change interval and eases the operating burden.

Contamination Load

The sediment and chlorine levels in the water directly determine how soon the cartridges fill.

Number of Stages

The number of housings on the unit determines how many stages the set has, and should be confirmed in advance.

07Maintenance and Use

Notes That Keep It Performing

  • Cartridges should be changed on time; a spent pre-filter does not protect the membrane and shortens its life.
  • Running the first water off for a while after a change is recommended, to flush out any fine dust in the cartridge.
  • Check the housing O-rings when changing cartridges; a worn O-ring leads to a leak.
  • A marked drop in water pressure shows the cartridges have filled and it is time to change them.

08Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

What does the Industrial 20 inch Pre-Filter Set do?
On heavily used units it treats the water before the membrane. The sediment stage captures sand, silt and rust; the carbon stages remove chlorine, off-taste, odour and organic contaminants. The membrane is protected and the unit keeps its efficiency.
How does it differ from the 10 inch set?
The 20 inch cartridges are twice as long and hold roughly twice the filter volume. They capture more contamination, the change interval lengthens, pressure loss at high flow falls and the membrane is better protected.
Does it remove limescale?
No. A pre-filter set removes sediment, chlorine, taste and odour, but not hardness (limescale) or dissolved salts. Hardness calls for water softening and salts for a reverse osmosis stage.
When is it changed?
Cartridge life varies with the contamination load and chlorine level of the incoming water and with daily consumption. A marked drop in pressure, or taste and odour problems returning, shows it is time to change them.
Will it fit my unit?
Your unit’s filter housings must be 20 inch; a 20 inch cartridge will not fit a 10 inch housing. The number of housings also determines how many stages the set has, so your unit’s model needs to be known.

Products in stock ship free anywhere in Türkiye and arrive within 1–3 business days. Items not in stock are supplied to order — the lead time is confirmed to you when the order is approved.

Installation and commissioning

Installation is a service · plumbing is the customer’s responsibility

The system is delivered ready to install; it only needs to be connected to the inlet and outlet lines. If valve setup is required, we provide free support over a video call. Installation and commissioning fall under our service work and are subject to a service fee. Plumbing labour and any pipes, valves and fittings are not included in the price; these items are the customer’s responsibility.

Warranty

Consumable

This product is classed as a consumable or spare part; because its life depends on use, it is not covered by warranty. Faulty or incorrectly shipped items are replaced — just get in touch with us.

Withdrawal and returns

Distance sales agreement

The right of withdrawal and the return terms are set out in detail in the distance sales agreement. Systems that have been installed and commissioned, and made-to-order products, are outside its scope.

Cancellation and return terms

How can we help?

Two different requests, two different forms.

The two forms ask different things: if we are building a new system we ask about your water and capacity; if your existing system needs service we ask for its brand and a photo.
