05How It Works
How Does the Face-Piped Sand Filter System Work?
Water Enters the Tank
Raw water passes through the face pipework and is directed onto the sand and anthracite media bed inside the tank.
Filtered Through the Media
As the water passes through the anthracite and sand layers, suspended solids and particles are held in the media.
Clear Water Outlet
Clear water passing through the underdrain diffuser is delivered to the next treatment stage or to use.
Time-Controlled Backwashing
When the media fills, the valves operate automatically; water is fed in the reverse direction and the dirt collected is sent to drain.
It Returns to Service
When the wash is complete the system returns automatically to the filtration position and operation continues.

How does it differ from a softening system?
A sand filter carries out mechanical filtration; it holds suspended solids and turbidity. A softening system exchanges ions with resin and removes hardness (limescale). The two are usually installed in series: sand filter first, then softening.

Installation is a service · plumbing is the customer’s responsibilityThe system is delivered ready to install; it only needs to be connected to the inlet and outlet lines. If valve setup is required, we provide free support over a video call. Installation and commissioning fall under our service work and are subject to a service fee. Plumbing labour and any pipes, valves and fittings are not included in the price; these items are the customer’s responsibility.
Warranty
2 years · manufacturerThe system is covered by a 2-year manufacturer warranty. During the warranty period, labour and parts are free for faults arising from manufacture or installation. Consumables such as filters, membranes and resin are outside warranty cover — they are replaced when their service life ends; they do not fail.

Free when the system is bought from usThe site survey is free when the system is purchased from us. A survey fee of ₺2,000 applies if you request the survey and measurement only.
