With regular maintenance the 6-Lamp UV Water Treatment Unit keeps performing at an industrial pace.
- Lamps lose intensity over time even while they continue to light, and must be renewed periodically.
- If limescale or sediment builds up on the quartz sleeves the UV cannot reach the water; they must be cleaned regularly.
- Check lamp status regularly on the control panel; a lamp that has gone out should be replaced at once.
- Disconnect the unit from the electricity supply while changing lamps or cleaning sleeves.

No. This unit does not remove sediment, chlorine, hardness or dissolved salts; it is only a microbiological safety stage. Sediment and carbon filters, and where needed a softening stage, must sit ahead of it.
When should the lamps be replaced?
Lamp life is about 9,000 hours. Once that is up they should be renewed even if they still light, because the UV intensity has fallen; the quartz sleeves should be checked and cleaned at the same service.

Consumables such as filters, membranes and resin are outside warranty cover — they are replaced when their service life ends; they do not fail.
