Sediment Stage
The water is first cleared of coarse sediment and particles in the 5 micron sediment filter.
The Carbon Stages
GAC and CTO carbon block remove chlorine and organic matter and protect the membrane.

07Maintenance and Use
Replacement Notes
- Fit the filters in the right order: sediment → GAC → CTO → membrane → post-carbon. The wrong order tires the membrane.
- The pre-filters and post-carbon are generally changed once a year, the membrane every 2-3 years.
- After fitting a new membrane and post-carbon, running the first water off a few times to rinse them is recommended.
- Worn connectors can be renewed at the same time; the connectors in the set are there for that.

Is a complete annual service enough?
The 5-piece set gives a complete annual renewal. But a membrane lasts 2-3 years and does not need renewing every year, so in some years the 3-piece pack alone may be the choice.
