How Does the 20 inch Big Blue Filter Housing Work?
It Is Connected to the Main Line
The housing is fitted in series into the estate or building main water line through its 1 inch inlet and outlet.
The Cartridge Is Fitted
A 20 inch Big Blue sediment, string wound or carbon cartridge is seated inside the housing as required.
Water Passes Through the Cartridge
Water entering through the inlet port is filtered as it travels from the wide cartridge’s outer surface towards the centre.
Clean Water Continues Along the Line
The filtered water leaves through the outlet port into the plumbing and reaches any further treatment stages.
The Cartridge Is Replaced
When the flow weakens the housing is opened, the cartridge is replaced, and it is closed again after checking the gasket.

Consumables such as filters, membranes and resin are outside warranty cover — they are replaced when their service life ends; they do not fail.
