Mixed Bed Pure Water Resin

Mixed Bed Pure Water Resin is a deionisation resin in which cation and anion resins are blended in the same bed, capturing both the positive and the negative ions in the water in a single pass; used after reverse osmosis, it brings conductivity close to zero and gives pure water to laboratory standard.

01Problem & Solution

When the Resin Saturates, the Purity Ends

Problem

If the Conductivity Is Rising

The resin in a pure water unit becomes saturated with the ions it has captured. A saturated resin can capture no more; conductivity rises and the water produced no longer reaches the purity precision applications require.

Solution

Renew the Bed with Mixed Bed Resin

Loaded in place of the saturated resin, Mixed Bed Pure Water Resin brings the pure water unit back to full capacity. Conductivity approaches zero again and production picks up where it left off.

02Key Features

Complete Ion Removal in One Bed

Mixed Bed Pure Water Resin is designed to reach the highest level of purity in a single stage.

Cation + Anion Together

A mixed bed captures both the positive and the negative ions in the water in a single pass.

Near-Zero Conductivity

With almost all the ions removed, the water’s conductivity falls close to zero.

It Leaves No Chemical Behind

A water molecule forms in place of each captured ion; no additional chemical passes into the water.

Charged to the Vessel Size

It is charged in the litres required by the pure water unit’s vessel volume.

Laboratory Standard

It supports the level of purity laboratory, pharmaceutical and precision manufacturing processes require.

Straightforward Renewal

Poured in place of the saturated bed, it has your pure water unit working at full capacity again.

05How It Works

How Does Mixed Bed Pure Water Resin Work?

  1. Loading the Vessel

The resin is charged into the pure water unit’s vessel in the litres its size calls for, forming the treatment bed.

  2. The Reverse Osmosis Water Enters

The water leaving reverse osmosis, with most of its dissolved matter already removed, is directed into the resin bed.

  3. The Cation Resin Goes to Work

The cation resin captures the positively charged ions in the water and releases a hydrogen ion (H⁺) in their place.

  4. The Anion Resin, and Water Forms

The anion resin captures the negative ions and releases a hydroxyl ion (OH⁻); the H⁺ and OH⁻ combine to form a water molecule.

  5. Renewal at Saturation

When the resin is saturated with ions the conductivity rises, and the bed is renewed with fresh mixed bed resin.

06Making the Right Choice

What Determines the Right Quantity

When choosing Mixed Bed Pure Water Resin, vessel volume, incoming water and the purity target must be assessed correctly.

Vessel Volume

The pure water unit’s vessel size directly determines the litres of resin to be charged.

Incoming Water Conductivity

The conductivity of the reverse osmosis output affects how soon the resin saturates.

Daily Output

The higher the daily pure water output, the shorter the resin’s service life, and the change plan should follow.

Pre-Treatment Is Essential

Mixed bed resin should be used after reverse osmosis; used directly on raw water it is consumed quickly.

07Maintenance and Use

Notes That Keep It Performing

  • The conductivity reading should be monitored regularly; when it rises, the resin is saturated and must be renewed.
  • The resin must be used after reverse osmosis; on raw or hard water it is used up very quickly.
  • Keep the resin sealed and store it somewhere cool and dry; drying out and freezing can both damage it.
  • Check the distributors in the vessel while charging; a broken distributor lets resin escape.

08Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

What does Mixed Bed Pure Water Resin do?
It is a deionisation resin blending cation and anion resins. By capturing both the positive and the negative ions in the water in a single pass, it brings conductivity close to zero and produces pure water.
What does “mixed bed” mean?
A mixed bed means the cation and anion resins are blended together in the same bed rather than kept in separate vessels. That arrangement reaches a far higher purity than separate-bed systems.
Is it the same as softening resin?
No. Softening resin captures only calcium and magnesium and releases sodium in their place; it removes hardness. Mixed bed resin captures every ion in the water and forms a water molecule in its place; the result is not merely scale-free water but entirely pure water.
When is it changed?
When the resin is saturated with ions the conductivity of the water produced starts to rise, which is the sign that it is time to change it. Service life varies with the conductivity of the incoming water and the daily output.
Can it be used without reverse osmosis?
It is not recommended. Mixed bed resin is designed to capture the trace ions remaining after reverse osmosis. Used directly on raw or hard water, the heavy ionic load saturates it very quickly and it is not economical.

Products in stock ship free anywhere in Türkiye and arrive within 1–3 business days. Items not in stock are supplied to order — the lead time is confirmed to you when the order is approved.

Installation and commissioning

Installation is a service · plumbing is the customer’s responsibility

The system is delivered ready to install; it only needs to be connected to the inlet and outlet lines. If valve setup is required, we provide free support over a video call. Installation and commissioning fall under our service work and are subject to a service fee. Plumbing labour and any pipes, valves and fittings are not included in the price; these items are the customer’s responsibility.

Warranty

Consumable

This product is classed as a consumable or spare part; because its life depends on use, it is not covered by warranty. Faulty or incorrectly shipped items are replaced — just get in touch with us.

Withdrawal and returns

Distance sales agreement

The right of withdrawal and the return terms are set out in detail in the distance sales agreement. Systems that have been installed and commissioned, and made-to-order products, are outside its scope.

Cancellation and return terms

How can we help?

Two different requests, two different forms.

The two forms ask different things: if we are building a new system we ask about your water and capacity; if your existing system needs service we ask for its brand and a photo.
