Mixed Bed · Cation + Anion · ~0 µS
Mixed Bed Pure Water Resin is a deionisation resin in which cation and anion resins are blended in the same bed, capturing both the positive and the negative ions in the water in a single pass; used after reverse osmosis, it brings conductivity close to zero and gives pure water to laboratory standard.
01Problem & Solution
Problem
The resin in a pure water unit becomes saturated with the ions it has captured. A saturated resin can capture no more; conductivity rises and the water produced no longer reaches the purity precision applications require.
Solution
Loaded in place of the saturated resin, Mixed Bed Pure Water Resin brings the pure water unit back to full capacity. Conductivity approaches zero again and production picks up where it left off.
02Key Features
Mixed Bed Pure Water Resin is designed to reach the highest level of purity in a single stage.
A mixed bed captures both the positive and the negative ions in the water in a single pass.
With almost all the ions removed, the water’s conductivity falls close to zero.
A water molecule forms in place of each captured ion; no additional chemical passes into the water.
It is charged in the litres required by the pure water unit’s vessel volume.
It supports the level of purity laboratory, pharmaceutical and precision manufacturing processes require.
Poured in place of the saturated bed, it has your pure water unit working at full capacity again.

04Applications
Mixed Bed Pure Water Resin is the media charge for every deionisation system that produces pure water.
05How It Works
The resin is charged into the pure water unit’s vessel in the litres its size calls for, forming the treatment bed.
The water leaving reverse osmosis, with most of its dissolved matter already removed, is directed into the resin bed.
The cation resin captures the positively charged ions in the water and releases a hydrogen ion (H⁺) in their place.
The anion resin captures the negative ions and releases a hydroxyl ion (OH⁻); the H⁺ and OH⁻ combine to form a water molecule.
When the resin is saturated with ions the conductivity rises, and the bed is renewed with fresh mixed bed resin.
06Making the Right Choice
When choosing Mixed Bed Pure Water Resin, vessel volume, incoming water and the purity target must be assessed correctly.
The pure water unit’s vessel size directly determines the litres of resin to be charged.
The conductivity of the reverse osmosis output affects how soon the resin saturates.
The higher the daily pure water output, the shorter the resin’s service life, and the change plan should follow.
Mixed bed resin should be used after reverse osmosis; used directly on raw water it is consumed quickly.

The system is delivered ready to install; it only needs to be connected to the inlet and outlet lines. If valve setup is required, we provide free support over a video call. Installation and commissioning fall under our service work and are subject to a service fee. Plumbing labour and any pipes, valves and fittings are not included in the price; these items are the customer’s responsibility.
This product is classed as a consumable or spare part; because its life depends on use, it is not covered by warranty. Faulty or incorrectly shipped items are replaced — just get in touch with us.
The right of withdrawal and the return terms are set out in detail in the distance sales agreement. Systems that have been installed and commissioned, and made-to-order products, are outside its scope.
