Problem
Without an Adaptor the Valve Cannot Run Its Programme
An adaptor that has been lost, has had its cable crushed or has failed leaves the valve’s control head without power. The display goes dark; automatic backwash or regeneration cannot start at the programmed time, and the filter bed or resin cannot be renewed on schedule. Fitting an adaptor with a different voltage, meanwhile, can damage the control board.

Is It the Right Adaptor for Your Valve?

Read the model from the label on the valve head; Runxin specifies a 12V DC adaptor for the F65P and F69P softener valves and the F71P, F71Q and F71B filter valves.
Supply Voltage

- Plug the adaptor in and out only with dry hands; use the adaptor in a socket away from spots that get splashed with water, are damp or are close to the salt tank.
- Do not bend the cable sharply or leave it taut or where it can be crushed; when unplugging the DC jack, hold the body of the jack, not the cable.
- If the display does not light or keeps cutting in and out, check that the wall socket is live, that the DC jack is fully seated in the valve socket and that the cable has not worked loose where it leaves the jack.
- If you notice overheating, a smell or a crack in the body, or peeling insulation on the cable, unplug the adaptor and stop using it; do not try to open or repair the adaptor.
- Before replacing it, read and note down the voltage and current values on the old adaptor’s label, and compare them with those of the new adaptor.

This comes from the valve’s own behaviour, not from the adaptor. Runxin states that when power returns, the F65P, F69P, F71P and F71Q valves turn for more than ten seconds to return to the position they were in when the power was cut, and then continue with their programme.
What is the cylindrical part on the cable for?
