Which capacity is enough for you? Let us find the unit that suits you best in six questions.
Building & Flat Inlet · Automatic
The Activated Carbon Unit connects to the main water line at a building or flat inlet and treats the chlorine, coarse sediment and silt in the water, leaving it clear and odour-free. Running automatically and cleaning itself at regular intervals, it delivers clean water without constant supervision.
01Problem & Solution
Problem
Chlorine and organic matter in mains water give it an unpleasant taste and smell, while coarse sediment and silt make it cloudy. Without treatment on the main line, the problem carries to every tap in the building or flat.
Solution
The Activated Carbon Unit captures chlorine, odour and coarse sediment on the main line, leaving the water clear and odour-free. Because it cleans itself by automatic backwashing, it needs no constant attention.
02Key Features
The Activated Carbon Unit is designed to run automatically for effortless use at a building or flat inlet.
Activated carbon adsorbs chlorine and unpleasant odours, noticeably improving the taste of the water and how it drinks.
The unit backwashes itself at regular intervals, keeping the carbon bed working efficiently.
It needs no constant filter changes; renewing the carbon once a year is usually enough.
Connected to the main water line, it treats the water for the whole building or flat at a single point.
A micro-porous carbon structure captures contaminants across a large surface area for effective treatment.
By capturing coarse sediment and silt it clarifies the water and raises overall quality.

03Technical Details
| Feature | Value | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Connection | Building / Flat Inlet | Where it connects to the system. A building inlet and a flat’s internal plumbing call for different products. |
| Treatment Media | Activated Carbon | |
| Cleaning | Automatic Backwash | How the unit cleans itself. Backwashing renews the filter without chemicals. |
| Operation | Fully Automatic | How the unit runs. Pumped models keep producing even when mains pressure is low. |
| What It Removes | Chlorine · Odour · Sediment | |
| Maintenance | Carbon Renewed Once a Year | The regular maintenance load. If filters are not changed on time, performance drops. |
| Weight | 30 kg | Product weight. For wall mounting, the supporting surface is chosen accordingly. |
| Dimensions | 30 × 40 × 150 cm | The outer dimensions of the unit. The cabinet or plant room has to be wider than this. |
04Applications
The Activated Carbon Unit suits buildings and businesses that want to improve the taste, odour and clarity of chlorinated mains water on the main line.
05How It Works
Mains water from the main line at the building or flat inlet is directed to the carbon bed inside the unit.
As the water passes through the activated carbon bed, chlorine, organic matter and odour compounds are adsorbed across its large surface area.
Freed of coarse sediment and chlorine, clear, odour-free water goes out to the building’s or flat’s supply line.
The unit backwashes itself at set intervals, flushing accumulated sediment to drain and keeping the carbon working efficiently.
Because the carbon saturates over time it is usually renewed once a year, which keeps treatment performance constant.
06Making the Right Choice
When choosing the Activated Carbon Unit, assess the size of the building and the purpose of treatment carefully.
The number of flats and the instantaneous water draw determine the vessel size and treatment capacity needed.
The unit is for chlorine, odour and sediment; a softener is needed for limescale and reverse osmosis for drinking water.
Placed ahead of RO or softening systems, the carbon unit removes chlorine and makes an ideal protective pre-stage.
The main line’s connection diameter and the installation space should be assessed before fitting the unit.

The system is delivered ready to install; it only needs to be connected to the inlet and outlet lines. If valve setup is required, we provide free support over a video call. Installation and commissioning fall under our service work and are subject to a service fee. Plumbing labour and any pipes, valves and fittings are not included in the price; these items are the customer’s responsibility.
The system is covered by a 2-year manufacturer warranty. During the warranty period, labour and parts are free for faults arising from manufacture or installation. Consumables such as filters, membranes and resin are outside warranty cover — they are replaced when their service life ends; they do not fail.
The right of withdrawal and the return terms are set out in detail in the distance sales agreement. Systems that have been installed and commissioned, and made-to-order products, are outside its scope.
