Is there a membrane in this set?
No. This is a pre-filter set consisting of 5 micron sediment, GAC activated carbon and 1 micron sediment stages. For complete treatment including a membrane and a final carbon stage, choose the five-stage set.
Is the 3-piece set enough on its own?
The 3-piece set removes coarse contamination such as sediment and chlorine and clarifies the water, protecting the main filter or membrane. But for salinity and fine contaminants it is best used as the pre-stage of a system with a membrane.
Can I change the filters myself?
On open-housing systems, anyone with some technical knowledge can. For the first change we recommend calling technical service, because the filter order, gasket seating and tightening torque matter. Incorrect installation risks leaks and microbial growth.
