Liquid Chlorine

Liquid chlorine is the consumable that chlorinates water when dosed into the raw water tank by a dosing pump; it renders the bacteria in the water inactive and helps suspended matter settle. For the chlorine to do its work, the system must include a raw water tank and chlorine must be tested regularly.

01Problem & Solution

When the Chlorine Runs Out, So Does the Protection

Problem

A System Without Chlorine Protects Nothing

Even if the dosing unit looks as though it is running, no chlorine reaches the water once the tank is empty. In well, river and standing tank water the microbiological risk starts again, and the suspended matter no longer settles.

Solution

The Consumable That Keeps It Running

Filling the dosing pump’s tank with liquid chlorine keeps the system running without a break. It is dosed into the raw water tank under control, and microbiological safety becomes continuous.

02Key Features

Controlled, Continuous, Effective

Liquid chlorine is the basic consumable that keeps chlorine dosing systems running effectively and without interruption.

Renders Bacteria Inactive

Acting on the bacteria and microorganisms in the water, it improves microbiological safety.

Settles Out Suspended Matter

It helps the suspended solids in the water settle to the bottom of the tank, and the water clears.

Applied by Dosing Pump

It is added to the water through a dosing pump, under control and continuously, never by hand.

Suits Well and Tank Water

It is used in treating well water, river water and water standing in tanks.

Continuity of the System

Kept topped up, the chlorine dosing system carries on running without interruption.

A Measurable Application

Measuring the chlorine level in the water keeps the dose in the right range.

04Applications

Where Is It Used?

Liquid chlorine is used in every facility and institution with a chlorine dosing system.

  • Well Water Systems
  • River Water Treatment
  • Water Tanks
  • Public Institutions
  • Factories
  • Hotels & Housing Estates
  • Farms
  • Consumable Supply for Chlorine Units

05How It Works

How Is Liquid Chlorine Used?

  1. Filling the Dosing Tank

The liquid chlorine is poured into the dosing unit’s chemical tank with the proper safety precautions.

  2. The Dosing Pump Comes In

The pump delivers the liquid chlorine into the raw water tank in the set amount, under control.

  3. Contact Time in the Tank

In the raw water tank the chlorine finds the contact time it needs with the water and does its work.

  4. Bacteria and Suspended Matter

The bacteria are rendered inactive, and the suspended solids settle and collect at the bottom of the tank.

  5. Chlorine Testing

The chlorine level in the water is tested regularly, the dose readjusted where needed and the tank topped up.

06Making the Right Choice

What Determines the Right Application

When using liquid chlorine, the tank arrangement, the dose setting and the discipline of testing must all be got right.

Raw Water Tank

For the chlorine to do its work, the system must include a raw water tank.

Dose Rate

The contamination load and flow rate of the water directly determine how much chlorine is dosed.

Chlorine Testing

Testing should be regular; under-dosing offers no protection, and over-dosing creates taste and odour.

The Next Stage

It matters that the system includes an activated carbon stage to remove the excess chlorine.

07Use and Safety

What to Watch For

  • Liquid chlorine is a chemical product; protective equipment such as gloves and goggles should be worn while filling.
  • Keep the container closed and store it somewhere cool and ventilated, out of the reach of children.
  • Do not mix it with other chemicals, and follow the use and safety instructions on the packaging.
  • The dosing pump, injection valve and hoses should be checked periodically; a blockage can stop the dosing.

08Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

What does liquid chlorine do?
Dosed into the raw water tank by a dosing pump, it chlorinates the water. It renders the bacteria in the water inactive and helps suspended matter settle, improving microbiological safety in well, river and standing tank water.
Does it remove chlorine from the water?
No — the opposite. Liquid chlorine is a chemical that adds chlorine to water. Removing chlorine is the job of an activated carbon stage; in a complete system the chlorine is added at the front and, once it has done its work, removed at the carbon.
Is a raw water tank essential?
Yes. For the chlorine to do its work, the system must include a raw water tank. The tank gives the chlorine enough contact time with the water and lets the settled matter collect at the bottom.
Why is chlorine testing necessary?
Regular chlorine testing is how you make sure the dose is at the right level. Under-dosing does not remove the microbiological risk, while over-dosing causes taste and odour problems in the water.
Can it be poured in by hand?
It is not recommended. Liquid chlorine should be delivered through a dosing pump, under control and continuously. Applying it by hand leaves the dose uncontrolled and creates a safety risk, and because it is a chemical, protective equipment should be worn.

Delivery

Across Türkiye · 1–3 business days

Products in stock ship free anywhere in Türkiye and arrive within 1–3 business days. Items not in stock are supplied to order — the lead time is confirmed to you when the order is approved.

Installation and commissioning

Installation is a service · plumbing is the customer’s responsibility

The system is delivered ready to install; it only needs to be connected to the inlet and outlet lines. If valve setup is required, we provide free support over a video call. Installation and commissioning fall under our service work and are subject to a service fee. Plumbing labour and any pipes, valves and fittings are not included in the price; these items are the customer’s responsibility.

Warranty

2 years · manufacturer

The system is covered by a 2-year manufacturer warranty. During the warranty period, labour and parts are free for faults arising from manufacture or installation. Consumables such as filters, membranes and resin are outside warranty cover — they are replaced when their service life ends; they do not fail.

Withdrawal and returns

Distance sales agreement

The right of withdrawal and the return terms are set out in detail in the distance sales agreement. Systems that have been installed and commissioned, and made-to-order products, are outside its scope.

Cancellation and return terms

How can we help?

Two different requests, two different forms.

The two forms ask different things: if we are building a new system we ask about your water and capacity; if your existing system needs service we ask for its brand and a photo.
