It Comes After the Sediment Stage
Water that has passed the sediment filter reaches the carbon stage free of coarse particles.

Replacement Notes
Replaced on time, the 10 inch CTO Carbon Cartridge Filter keeps protecting the membrane.
- This cartridge is not washable; once the carbon surface is saturated it must be replaced with a new one.
- When a taste or smell of chlorine becomes noticeable in the water, it is time to replace it.
- After fitting the new cartridge, run off the first water produced a few times to rinse out carbon dust.
- An overdue carbon stage starts letting chlorine through, and that can damage the membrane permanently.
