See Your Water’s Balance with the pH Test Kit

The pH Test Kit is a practical set that lets you establish the acid-alkali balance of water by comparing the colour an indicator reagent produces in a sample against a scale. You can follow pH in treatment systems, pools, aquariums and irrigation water with no instrument to install.

01Problem & Solution

pH Is Invisible, but Its Consequences Are Not

Problem

Unbalanced Water Damages Quietly

When the pH falls, water turns corrosive and wears the plumbing down; when it rises, scaling and turbidity increase. Without measurement, these problems are noticed only once the damage shows.

Solution

A Clear Result in Minutes

With a few drops of reagent and a colour comparison, the pH Test Kit shows the water’s balance. You can then manage chemical dosing, filter performance and water quality on data rather than guesswork.

02Key Features

Practical, Economical, Portable

The pH Test Kit is designed for quick results in the field and at home.

Reading Against a Colour Scale

The colour that forms is compared with the scale on the kit and the pH read off easily.

A Quick Result

Take a sample, add the drops, swirl — and the result is there in short order.

Nothing to Install

It works with no fixed instrument, no probe calibration and no electrical connection.

Economical Measurement

It makes regular monitoring possible at a lower cost than electronic meters.

Portable

The compact set is practical for service teams taking readings at different points.

A Wide Range of Uses

The same method works for treatment systems, pools, aquariums and irrigation water.

04Applications

Where Is It Used?

The pH Test Kit can be used wherever water balance needs monitoring.

  • Water Treatment Systems
  • Swimming Pools
  • Aquariums
  • Greenhouse & Hydroponic Irrigation
  • Well & Borehole Water
  • Monitoring Chemical Dosing
  • Service & Maintenance Teams
  • Teaching & Laboratory Work

05How It Works

How Does the pH Test Kit Work?

  1. Take a Sample

The vial is filled with the water to be tested up to the level given in the instructions.

  2. Add the Indicator

Holding the bottle upright, add the number of drops of reagent given in the instructions to the sample.

  3. Mix

Cap the vial and swirl it; the indicator develops a colour according to the water’s acidity.

  4. Compare the Colour

The colour that forms is matched against the shades on the scale to establish the water’s pH.

  5. Act on It

If the reading is outside the target range, plan the right chemical dose or system adjustment.

06Making the Right Choice

A Kit or an Electronic Meter?

When choosing the pH Test Kit, how often you will measure, the precision you need and the conditions of use should be assessed.

How Often You Measure

For occasional checks a kit is enough; for daily, intensive monitoring an electronic meter is more practical.

The Precision You Need

A colour scale gives you a range; where decimal precision is needed, a probe is the better choice.

Where It Will Be Used

In the field, being portable and needing no calibration is a clear advantage.

Budget

The initial cost is low, and when the reagent runs out only the consumable is replaced.

07Maintenance and Use

Notes for an Accurate Result

Follow a few simple rules and the pH Test Kit gives consistent results.

  • Compare colours in daylight or under steady lighting; in dim conditions reading errors increase.
  • Rinse the vial after every test; leftover reagent affects the next result.
  • Close the reagent bottles tightly, store them somewhere cool and dry, and keep an eye on the expiry date.
  • The reagents are chemicals; avoid contact with skin and eyes and keep them out of the reach of children.

08Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

What does the pH Test Kit do?
It lets you establish the acid-alkali balance of water. The colour the indicator develops in the sample is matched against the scale and the pH read off, so chemical dosing and water quality can be managed on data.
Does the kit treat water?
No. This is a test set; it does not treat water and does not change its pH. If the reading is outside the target, the correction is made with the right chemical or a system adjustment.
Why does pH matter in drinking water?
A low pH makes water corrosive and wears the plumbing down; a high pH increases scaling and turbidity. A balanced pH is decisive for both water quality and the life of the system.
Does it measure TDS?
No, it shows pH only. Seeing the total dissolved solids calls for a separate TDS meter; the two readings complement each other.
How often should you test?
It depends on where it is used. Frequently for pools and heavily used systems; for domestic treatment units, testing around filter changes and any change in the water source is recommended.

Installation and commissioning

Installation is a service · plumbing is the customer’s responsibility

The system is delivered ready to install; it only needs to be connected to the inlet and outlet lines. If valve setup is required, we provide free support over a video call. Installation and commissioning fall under our service work and are subject to a service fee. Plumbing labour and any pipes, valves and fittings are not included in the price; these items are the customer’s responsibility.

Warranty

Consumable

This product is classed as a consumable or spare part; because its life depends on use, it is not covered by warranty. Faulty or incorrectly shipped items are replaced — just get in touch with us.

Withdrawal and returns

Distance sales agreement

The right of withdrawal and the return terms are set out in detail in the distance sales agreement. Systems that have been installed and commissioned, and made-to-order products, are outside its scope.

Cancellation and return terms

How can we help?

Two different requests, two different forms.

The two forms ask different things: if we are building a new system we ask about your water and capacity; if your existing system needs service we ask for its brand and a photo.
