Pure water is water with its dissolved ions removed to a stated level. It is specified by conductivity (µS/cm) or resistivity (MΩ·cm), not by a marketing word, and the level you need is set by what the water feeds — a laboratory instrument, an autoclave, a battery line or a glass-washing rinse each have different thresholds.

RO, DI, or both?

Reverse osmosis removes the bulk of the dissolved load cheaply. Deionization with ion exchange resin removes what remains and takes conductivity close to zero, but the resin is consumed in proportion to the ion load it sees. Running DI alone on raw water exhausts resin quickly and expensively; running RO first and DI after is what makes low conductivity affordable to maintain.

Mixed-bed resin and cartridge life

Mixed-bed resin combines cation and anion resin in one vessel and produces the lowest conductivity in a single pass. Its life is measured in litres treated at a given feed conductivity, which is why a conductivity meter on the outlet is not an accessory but part of the system: it tells you when the bed is exhausted before your process finds out.

Typical uses

  • Laboratory glassware rinsing and reagent preparation
  • Autoclave and medical equipment preparation
  • Spot-free rinse water for glass and facade cleaning
  • Process feed where repeatable low conductivity is required

Resin and cartridges are consumables and are outside warranty cover; pumps, vessels and valves carry a 2-year warranty.

How can we help?

Two different requests, two different forms.

The two forms ask different things: if we are building a new system we ask about your water and capacity; if your existing system needs service we ask for its brand and a photo.
